Zully Goldfarb was born in Buenos Aires and discovered her passion for music from a young age. She grew up listening to tangos and typical Jewish songs in Idish, that her family used to listen at that time, which years later would mark her path as a professional singer.
In 1999 she released hes first CD "Mano a mano con el Tango", with the participation of Osvaldo Burucuá, guitar and piano and Adell Fabian Gustavo Paglia on accordion. A year later, she recorded "Aromatango" under the musical direction of Norberto Vogel.
In 2003, she released "Tango and Light," directed by Oscar de Elia. That album also included a version of "Je te dirai" –a track that Carlos Gardel sang with the orchestra Kalikian Gregor in 1931 – , "Friling" and "Papirosn", two clasics from Jewish music in Idish.
In 2004 and 2005 presented "Tango y Luz" in Costa Rica and Uruguay, with Paul Saclis on piano, Omar Massa on accordion and Gerardo Scaglione on double bass.
During this period, under the direction of Cesar Lerner she edited "Zully canta en Idish" which contained traditional songs in that language. Later this material would be reflected in the show named “Raíces” ,a combination of regional tango and traditional Jewish music. Fifteen people joined her on stage. "Raices" was first performed at the Teatro Coliseo, Cervantes and San Martin.
In 2008 Argentina, she was the only Argentinian singer to participate in the Ashkenaz Festival held in the city of Toronto, Canada, where she presented her album "A donde va mi voz."
In 2010 she participated as a guest artist at the closure of the Klezmer Festival Fürth, which took place in Germany. That same year, she was convened by the director of the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, Ronen Nissan, to promote her new CD "Ciudad de Nostalgia" at the Auditorium Rami Naim Ashdod, Israel.
Participated in the series "La noche de los Museos", 2010 edition, invited by the City Government of Buenos Aires. She was guest artist at work "Zeide Shike" and the Parade "Mujer en la Historia."
She is currently presenting her first musical called "Destino de Arrabal" in Velma Café, run by Maxi Bartfeld, joined on piano by Paul Saclis as musical director, Omar Massa on accordion, Gerardo Scaglione on double bass. The show also includes dancers on stage and all the good taste and elegance that characterizes her. In "Destino de Arrabal", Zully Golfarb trasmits to the public, with particular style and imprint, her roots and well reflected identity in a grate selection of tracks that tell the story of piringundines from the German cabaret of Buenos Aires venue.
